Unfortunately, I’m starting to think that 2011 wasn’t exactly a great year for music, as several reissues completely overshadow anything being produced today.  The Throbbing Gristle reissues being a perfect case in point.  Maybe, hopefully, chillwave, etc. will be obliterated by musicians/ artists with spines and visions in 2012.  I heard Indian Jewelry is coming out with a new album, so things are looking up. At least Mi Ami and a few others (Gary War, BJ Nilsen / Stilluppsteypa) created compelling music this year.
